Introducing our National Anthem singer on the 11th of October, 2025:

Kyla Williams is a senior at Collegiate School and will be performing the National Anthem for our tournament. Her recent stage credits include Persephone in Hadestown: Teen Edition, Queen Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Collegiate School, and Dot/Marie in Sunday in the Park with George with the Miller Studio. Kyla plans to continue her theatrical studies in college next year.

Sportsman’s Pledge

On behalf of all participants,
We sincerely pledge:

To uphold the spirit of kendo — with respect, discipline, and integrity.
To fight with honor, fairness, and full effort,
never losing sight of courtesy toward my opponent.

Win or lose, we shall accept the outcome with humility,
and through today’s encounters,
strive to polish my mind, body, and spirit.

With gratitude to our senseis, referees and organizers,
We vow to do our best and make this tournament worthy of kendo’s true spirit.

Thank you.
